Vicki Jo Koffend, age 58, of Morning Sun, died Thursday, September 6, 2018, at her home.  The daughter of Richard and Carlis Sothman Hahn, she was born on October 11, 1959 in Virginia.  Vicki married Rich Koffend on December 31, 1987 in Mediapolis.

 

She was a graduate of Mediapolis High School in 1978.  She worked as a teaching associate with special ed primarily at Columbus Community Elementary School. 

 

Vicki was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Muscatine.  She enjoyed family time, gardening, cooking, baking, and especially her grandkids.

 

Her family includes her husband, Rich; five children, Justin Yoder & Jaime Copeman of Mt. Pleasant, Stacy & Doran Massner of Mediapolis, Nicholas & Lindsey Yoder of Mt. Pleasant, Lindsey Koffend & Ian Kochevar of Olds, and Kelsey Koffend of North Liberty; twelve grandchildren, Izabell, Rylie, Jayden, Kyler, Dakota, Levi, Layk, Evee, Sofia, Owen, Nora, and Easton; a brother, Dean & Irene Hahn of Burlington; and a sister, Jodi Hahn of Burlington.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Doug.

 

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis.  Pastor Bruce Martin will officiate.

 

Memorial gifts will benefit Vicki’s grandchildren.

Dean and Jodi, sorry to hear about the passing of Viki.
Will always remember our families time together at the river cabin in the 70's.
