Louise Vinette Voog of Mediapolis passed away at the Klein Center in West Burlington.

On December 11, 2018 the Angels came and escorted her to her heavenly home.  Louise was born on January 23, 1940 to Earl A. and H. Evelyn (Rocene) Johnson in Marcus, Iowa.

 

Louise was raised in the Marcus/Cleghorn area and attended school there graduating from Cleghorn High School in 1958.  Louise went on to attend Trinity Bible College in Chicago, Illinois.  She met her future husband Ronald Voog at Trinity College and they were married in 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa.

 

Louise and Ronald settled in the Plainfield, Illinois area where they raised their three children.  Louise was employed by Western Electric Company in Montgomery, Illinois and was a homemaker.  Louise was a member of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.

 

Louise was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Evelyn Johnson and is survived by her husband, Ronald of Mediapolis; a son, Duane (Brenda) of Ottumwa; and two daughters, Andrea (John) Petersson Bridgeville, Pennsylvania and Nancy (Patrick) Koval of Burlington; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Paul of Loveland, Colorado, Eldon of Petersburg, Alaska, and David of Longmont, Colorado; a sister, Muriel of Longmont, Colorado; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Reinholt of Costa Mesa, California; and her mother-in-law, Vera Voog of Beresford, South Dakota.

 

A gathering and ceremony will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis with Pastor Jim Ruberg officiating.

 

Interment will be later at the Cherokee Memory Gardens in Cherokee, Iowa.

 

Memorials will benefit the Great River Hospice in West Burlington.

We are so happy for Lou as she is in heaven. We are grieving the loss of such a wonderful friend. We pray that the Lord give you all the peace and comfort that only the Lord can give. We love you, Frank & Rosalee Little
